What is Sikaflex 252? Sikaflex 252 is an elastic, one-component polyurethane adhesive that Sika designed for bonding large components in vehicle assembly, such as caravan, motorhome and vehicle body work, and for assemblies subject to dynamic stresses (Sika PDS v03.01, 04-2023). Usage

Sikaflex®-252 is suitable for assemblies that are subject to dynamic stresses. Suitable substrate materials are timber, metals, particularly aluminium (including anodised components), sheet steel (including phosphated, chromated and galvanised components), metal primers and paint coatings (2-component systems), ceramic materials and plastics. Seek manufacturer’s advice before using on plastics that are prone to stress cracking. This product is suitable for professional experienced users only. Tests with actual substrates and conditions have to be performed to ensure adhesion and material compatibility.

Preparation

Follow the current Sika data sheet or pre-treatment chart for your substrate. Sika Aktivator 205 is the adhesion promoter in our range, and Sika Remover-208 removes uncured Sikaflex from tools and equipment.
