Terraco Weathercoat GP – Two-Component Elastomeric Waterproofing
Weathercoat GP is a two-component cement-acrylic coating that forms a permanent, flexible waterproof layer on concrete and masonry. The kit contains a 5kg acrylic resin and a 15kg cement-based powder, mixed on site.
Where to use
- Flat roofs, balconies and patio terraces
- Wet room walls and floors, including beneath ceramic tiles
- Swimming pools, ponds and drinking water tanks
- Foundations, retaining walls and water channels
Key properties
- Highly flexible (elongation >50%), bridges cracks up to 3.2mm
- BS 6920 compliant for contact with drinking water
- EN 14891 compliant: tile adhesives and mortars bond directly to it
- Vapour permeable and water based (VOC <1 g/l)
- Adheres to new and old in-situ and precast concrete
How to apply
- Clean the surface: remove laitance, loose material, oil and grease. Repair cracks and defects.
- Prime with Terraco Terrabond A (1 part primer : 3 parts water).
- Pour all the resin into a clean bucket, slowly add all the powder and mix with a slow drill (200–600 rpm) for at least 3 minutes. Leave for 5 minutes, then remix for 30 seconds. Do not add water.
- Apply at least two coats at right angles, 1.5–2.0mm total thickness, by brush or broom. Leave at least 6 hours between coats.
- Use within 1 hour of mixing. Do not apply if rain is expected within 24 hours. Not for use over bitumen coatings.
Allow 7 days’ cure before continuous water immersion. Rinse drinking water tanks thoroughly before use.

- Consumption: approx. 1.5–2.0 kg/m² per mm (about 5–7 m² per kit)
- Pot life: 1–1.5 hours at 30°C
- Application temperature: 5–40°C
- Hardness: 60–70 Shore A
Packaging & storage
20kg kit: 5kg resin jerrican + 15kg powder bag. Shelf life 12 months in sealed packaging, stored dry and protected from heat and frost.
